Madison and Vine

Dec 9/2019

I recently learned of Madison and vine which is a tool that was created for advertisers to get around the problem of people skipping their adds during commercial break. Madison and vine is when commercial companies market their product in the add. They give the movie or show money so that the creators can make the show, in return the producers have to make sure that the product is somehow displayed in the dhow or in some cases is apart of the show. Why was this created?

This partnership was created because people started to avoid advertising. They were able to bypass it in every way that you watch shows or listen to music. The change in the average consumer's way of acting, was already making it harder for both advertising and entertainment to get investments. So, both sides thought that it would be beneficial to team up. The website working knowledge by the Harvard Business school claims that this change in strategy essentially makes it so that people choose the advertisements they want to see instead of being forced to watch what TV broadcasters put on, so the add industry had to make things people will want to see. They believe that this shift onto the big screen changes all the rules.
